the news
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Update February 12, 2012: Last night we wrapped the
live portion of the video for Elemental. I contributed
makeup and acting coaching, and our director, assistant
and actress contributed everything else. It was great fun
and I'm looking forward to sharing the finished result.

Behind the scenes pictures
here. More info on Luna and
Locke
here.

Update February 9, 2012: After attending Arisia in
Boston (and writing this
insiders-only view on it), I have
returned to the world with a plethora of news-y items.
Among them are the fact that I now work as marketing
coordinator for
Spencer Hill Press and am about 1/3
finished with the first draft of an exciting magic realism
novel, The Employment of Thomas Valentine.

I'm entering a story into
this anthology and you should
take a moment to consider doing so as well.

Ginny Lorcock is currently giving away a free copy of
Inanimate Objects. Check out
this page for your chance
to win.

At Arisia I met some very cool people, and among the
coolest of them were members of the Vagabonds. I can't
suggest enough that you check out their vlogs. They're
laugh-out-loud funny, and the people behind them are
awesome as well. I'll be working with Luna this weekend
on a super special project. More about that soon. For
now,
check them out, subscribe to their youtube channel.

Special thanks to my eternal muses, Janice and Dusty.
Thanks to Jess for her support and Lucy for her CC
expertise. Thank you Bekah for coming back into my life
and making it so much happier and more blessed. And
as always, if you are a woman writer in any genre, you
should consider joining
Broad Universe. They have
done so much for me, I can't express my thanks enough.
It's an incredible organization.

Update January 5, 2012: The site has been massively
updated, so please take a moment to look around at
some of the cool new features. If you haven't gotten to
read Pure Textuality's
review of Inanimate Objects yet,
you should! In other news, BAM is now selling Inanimate
Objects through their site, I've discovered the most
delicious Christmas speciality tea (and have horded
boxes of it accordingly before it disappears for the year)
and I'm hard at work on my next writing project.

Just in time for Arisia 2012, I'll be unveiling a brand new,
better than ever edition of Inanimate Objects. Starting in
a couple weeks, you'll be able to order this new edition.

I'd also like to take a moment to thank Jessica T. for all
of her support and encouragement throughout the last
year.

Update January 3, 2012: Welcome to the new year!
Several bits of news, beginning with my flash fiction
piece being published by the
Bijou Poetry Review.

For two days only,
follow me on twitter and request a
free e-copy of Inanimate Objects and it will be emailed to
you. See twitter for more information.

January 13-16th is the Arisia Conference in Boston. I'll
be attending the event with the amazing gals of Broad
Universe, and reporting on the event exclusively for
Pure Textuality. I'm very excited about this, even if
nerves are kicking in! I'll be doing a short reading there,
as well. If you're attending the event, find me with the
Broads at their table.

And finally, tomorrow evening I'll be the special guest on
the radio program,
Grapevyne.

Update November 9, 2011: Lots of news! First of all, you
are going to want to head over to Pure Textuality to
read the
article I wrote about writing and inspiration
called "Five Headed Muse." Make sure to look through
the rest of the blog while you're there, it has some
fantastic content.

Inanimate Objects is once again part of Goodreads'
giveaway contest. Between now and the 18th, you can
win a copy on their site, so make sure to enter!

Saturday and Sunday I will be attended Anthocon in
Portsmouth, NH. I highly recommend that local writers
take a look at
their site and think about attending. The
event should be a lot of fun. I'll document the trip and
take plenty of pictures while there. Keep an eye out for
updates!
I'm working hard on NANO. This year I'm working on a
Victorian-esque gothic novel about two young women
who attend a school for "wayward souls."
Check out these helpful
links and tips for writers.
Thank you so much for visiting the site, and blessings to
you!
